Leece, age 87, of Hanover Township, passed away at Oxford View Nursing Center on Thursday, January 2, 2003, at 12:40 a.m. She was born in Estill County, Kentucky, on November 24, 1915, the daughter of Herman and Sarah Green (Patrick) Estes. On September 6, 1944, in Cincinnati, she married John C. Leece, who preceded her in death in 1998. Georgia enjoyed quilting, gardening and cooking for her family, when her health permitted. She was a very loving and devoted Mother and Grandmother, who is survived by three children, Dennis Conrad and his wife Janet of Oxford, Norma Kelly of Charleston, Illinois and Harley “Bud” Conrad and his wife Jerri of Hamilton; two step-sons, Vernon Leece and his wife Nannie and John Leece and his wife Linda, both of Hamilton; twelve grandchildren, Dennis Jr., Denise, Mona, Mike, Tim, Danny, Steve, Bobby, John David, Sherry, Shelly and Sandy; twenty great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; seven brothers, Allie, Coleman, Price, Hubert, Elby, James, and Clarence Estes; and one sister, Agnes Estes Knox. Funeral service will be held at the Brown Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Saturday, January 4, 2003, at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. William C. Brantingham, Associate Pastor of First Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Butler County Memorial Park. Visitation will be held Saturday from 12 noon to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
