Jackson Times, Feb. 8. 1918 THREE SHOT IN DUEL AT LEE CITY Rev. Milton Lykins was wounded fatally, and Rollie Ciscoe and Caleb Dunn were slightly wounded in a duel between Jack Arnett and Rollie Ciscoe in the Rev. Mr. Lykins store at Lee City late Saturday night. The minister was shot by Fleet Arnett he declared at the Bach Hospital where the wounded men were taken. According to his version of the shooting, Jack Arnett and Ciscoe were quarreling and had drawn revolvers when Caleb Dunn who was in the store, stepped between them and was shot in the face. Young Arnett was lying on the floor aiming at Ciscoe upon when he fired, wounding him in the neck as his brother, Fleet Arnett, stepped through the door. Fleet Arnett then turned and fled. He looked back and saw the minister stooping over his brother. Believing him to be attacking the boy, Arnett shot him through the back, it is alleged. Mr. Lykins was brought with the other two wounded men on a special train provided by Supt. M.L. Conley, of the O & K to the Bach Hospital, where Mr. Lykins died Sunday and where the other are going to get well although Ciscoe is badly wounded. Feb. 15, 1918 ARNETTS ARE INDICTED The grand jury of Wolfe County in session at Campton, last Friday turned into court an indictment against Dorsey Arnett and Flen_ Arnett, charged with the murder of Rev. Milton Lykens at Lee City several days ago. Indictments also returned against them for the shooting and wounding of Caleb and Rollie Cisco. They were remanded to jail without bail.
