Wolfe County News - Dec. 1971 NATIVE OF WOLFE PASSES IN OHIO Clayton M. Townsend, 53, of Camden, Ohio was dead on arrival at Middletown, Ohio Hospital at 2:05 p.m. Dec. 7 after suffering a heart attack. He had returned home for a few days after being hospitalized for six weeks. He was a native of Wolfe County, a former resident of the Meadow Branch community, and was a graduate of Alvan Drew School formerly at Pine Ridge. He had been employed for 19 years by Armco Steel Corp. and had served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Surviving are his wife, Betty; a son, David, and a daughter, Linda, both at home; his father, Clyde Townsend of Carlisle, Ky., and a brother, Winfred Townsend, of Franklin, Ohio. Services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 11 at the McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home with Rev. Henry Howard and Rev. Herbert Thompson officiating. Burial was in the Butler County Memorial Park. Carole
