Wolfe County News - Nov. 1970 FORMER CAMPTON RESIDENT DIES IN OHIO MISHAP A 34 year old former Campton resident was killed Monday when an automobile fell on him at his sister's home in Middletown, Ohio. Mark (Shag) Brewer, Jr., was dead on arrival at a Hamilton, Ohio hospital of a crushed chest and other injuries. Witnesses said Brewer was working on the automobile when it slipped off a jack supporting it and fell on him. A native of Wolfe County, Brewer was employed for several years by the Brewer Chevrolet Co., which was owned by his brother. He had just recently moved to Ohio. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Daisy Rose Brewer; two sons, Marvin Ray and Robert Owen Brewer, both at home; a daughter, Miss Mary Brewer, Powell County; a brother, Paul Brewer, Campton, and three sisters, Mrs. Berneda Lackey, Middletown, Ohio; Mrs . Peggy Hall, no address given, and Mrs. Jean Totay, Washington, D.C. Services were conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at the Church of God. Burial was in the Evans Cemetery here.
