Wolfe County News - Feb. 20, 1970 RITES HELD FOR LEWIS A. KING Lewis Augustus King, 61, died instantly Monday, Feb. 9, form a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was a native of Wolfe County and a member of the Holiness Church. He is survived by his wife, Golden King, Route 1 Campton; three sons, Ernest King, Frankfort, Beckham King of Stamping Ground, and Charlie King of Georgetown, three daughters, Mrs. Helen King, Campton, Mrs.Betty Ferguson of Winchester, and Mrs. Alice Trent of Frankfort; three brothers, Thomas King and George King of Baptist, and Ira King of Cincinnati, one sister, Mrs. Sophio Mossi, Campton, and nine grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, Feb. 11, at 2:00 p.m. at the Porter and Son Funeral Chapel by Rev. Gilbert and Rev. Bufort Hampton. Burial was in the Chambers Cemetery on Baptist.
