Wolfe County News - Jan. 21, 1972 WOLFE NATIVE DIES IN CLARK Benjamin F. Spencer, 67, Winchester, formerly of Powell County and a Wolfe County native, died Monday, Jan. 3. He was a member of the Cane Creek Union Church. Mrs. Spencer is survived by four sons, Ellis Spencer and Chadwick Leon Spencer, both of Winchester: Harold Spencer, Citrus Heights, Calif.; Wilford Spencer, North Highlands, Calif.; three daughters, Karen Ballanger, Louisiana, Mrs. Laura Ewen, Bowen; and Mrs. Retha Wright, Stanton, two brothers, Claude Spencer, Stanton; and Arlie Spencer, Pine Ridge; two sisters, Mrs. Ila Drake, Pine Ridge, and Mrs. Leona Campbell, Richmond, VA.; 20 grandchildren. Services were conducted Thursday, Jan. 6, at the Wells Funeral Home in Stanton. Burial was in the Faulkner Cemetery near Bowen. Carole
