Wolfe County News - May 5, 1972 STEVE BREWER PASSES MAY 1 Steve Brewer, 83, died early Monday morning May 1, after an extended illness. She was a native of Wolfe County, a member of Cox Lodge No 464 for 53 years, a member of Eve Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, for 52 years, and a member of Campton Baptist Church. He also served two terms as coronor of Wolfe County. Survivors are his wife, Nancy Creech Brewer; two daughters, Mrs. Lillie Alexander, and Mrs. Opal Cox Gibbs of Campton; two sons, Dorsie Brewer and Raymond Brewer of Campton; 12 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren; four brothers, Floyd Brewer, Ravenna, Boyd Brewer of Stanton, Brack Brewer and Jerry Brewer of Williamsburg, Ohio. Funeral services were conducted at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 3, at Campton Baptist Church with Rev. Doyle Thomas officiating. Burial was in the Evans Cemetery with Masonic Rites. Shackelford Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Carole
