Wolfe County News - Dec. 3, 1972 KELSE PATTON DIES DEC. 3RD Kelse Patton, 67, of Route 2 Campton, died Sunday morning, Dec. 3, at his home after an extended illness. He was a native of Wolfe County and a retired farmer. He is survived by his wife, the former Becky Moore; three sons, Ernest, Bill and Freddie Patton, all of Campton; eight daughters, Mrs. Bernice Profitt, Mrs. Ezel Tolson, Mrs. Gertie Mae Vanderpool, Mrs. Nancy Lee Terrill, Mrs. Junie Rose, and Miss Elizabeth Patton, Miss Gladys Patton, and Miss Maxine Patton, all of Campton; one brother, Courtney Patton, and one half-brother, Ova Patton, both of Campton, and one sister, Mrs. Gertrude King, Baptist; 39 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 5, at the Campton Holiness Church, by Rev. Willard Gilbert and Rev. Jack Charles. Burial was in the Patton Cemetery on Baptist.
