Wolfe County News - Oct. 15, 1971 ALFRED M. BANKS, NATIVE OF WOLFE PASES IN OHIO Alfred Monroe Banks, 63, of Middletown, Ohio and a native of Wolfe County, died in a Middletown hospital Aug. 22 after suffering a heart attack. Mr. Banks had been a resident of Middletown 45 years and had been employed by Armco Steel Corp. He was a member of the Clayton Street Church of God and was an active lay minister. Born in Wolfe County, he was the son of the late Rev. Grover Cleveland and Letha Watkins Banks of Hunting Fork. Mr. Banks is survived by his wife, Ethel; a son, Allan, at home; a sister, Mrs. Mary Banks of Dayton, Ohio, and five brothers, Marvin of Paducah, John of Bethany, Lester of Dayton, Ohio, Rev. William Banks of Norwood, Ohio, and Rev. Chester Banks of Trotwood, Ohio. Funeral was conducted at the Clayton Street Church of God with Rev. Jack Adams officiating. Burial was in the Woodside Cemetery in Middletown. Carole
