Wolfe County News - Aug. 13, 1971 STRUCK BY CAR DIES IN INDIANA George Terrill, 39, died at approximately 2:15 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 7, from injuries received after being struck by an automobile near his place of business in Fort Wayne, Ind. He was a native of Wolfe County and a veteran of the Korean War. Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Mary Vancleve, and his stepfather, Roland Vancleve of Campton, Route 2; one brother, Frank Terrill, Jr., Dayton, Ohio; five sisters, Mrs. Miranda Davis, Lexington, Mrs. Gladys Elkins and Mrs. Ora Lockard, both of Hazel Green, Mrs. Addis Manhardt, Dayton, Ohio, and Mrs. Jean Smith, Route 2 Campton. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 10 at the Porter and Son Funeral Home in Campton by Rev. Doyle Thomas and Rev. Omer Spencer. Burial was in the Tyra Cemetery on Holly. Arrangements were under the direction of the Porter and Son Funeral Home. Casket bearers were Bruce Hatton, Dan Lockard, Millard Buchanan, Freddie Elkins, and George Elkins, Jr. Carole
