Wolfe County News - Aug. 13, 1971 STRUCK BY CAR DIES IN INDIANA George Terrill, 39, died at approximately 2:15 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 7, from injuries received after being struck by an automobile near his place of business in Fort Wayne, Ind. He was a native of Wolfe County and a veteran of the Korean War. Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Mary Vancleve, and his stepfather, Roland Vancleve of Campton, Route 2; one brother, Frank Terrill, Jr., Dayton, Ohio; five sisters, Mrs. Miranda Davis, Lexington, Mrs. Gladys Elkins and Mrs. Ora Lockard, both of Hazel Green, Mrs. Addis Manhardt, Dayton, Ohio, and Mrs. Jean Smith, Route 2 Campton. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 10 at the Porter and Son Funeral Home in Campton by Rev. Doyle Thomas and Rev. Omer Spencer. Burial was in the Tyra Cemetery on Holly.
