Wolfe County News - March 12, 1971 WOLFE NATIVE DIES MARCH 3 IN POWELL COUNTY Mrs. Cora Francis Spencer, 64, Stanton, wife of Fred Spencer, died Wednesday, March 3. She was a native of Wolfe County and a member of Eve Chapter, No. 272, Order of the Eastern Star, Campton. Other survivors are three sons, Sam Spencer, Bill Spencer, and Brack Spencer of Lexington; a daughter, Mrs. Louise Curtis, Clark County; three brothers, John Wilder, Ed Wilder, and Sam F. Wilder, and several grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at the Hearne Funeral Home by Rev. Otis Platt of the Maxwell Street Christian Church. Burial was in the Stanton Cemetery. Casketbearers were Leeoff Curtis, Sammy Spencer, Orville Bennett, John Cox, Charles Hobbs and James Congleton. Carole
