Hi, Carole mentioned someone was having a problem with the link for this obit, so I had it and here it is. - Norma Clifton Stamper Clifton "Jim" Stamper, 68, of Middletown, died Sunday, Jan. 5, 2003, at his residence. He was born on Sept. 5, 1934, in Hazel Green, Ky., the son of Lloyd Stamper and Grace (Day) Stamper. Mr. Stamper was a retired veteran of the U.S. Army. He then worked in the assembly department of General Electric. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion Post 218. Mr. Stamper is survived by one daughter, Marsha Stamper of Middletown; nine sisters, Audrey Pacer of Patrick, S.C., Marjoline Franchi of Sarasota, Fla., Imogene Boyd of Lexington, Ky., Sandra Nash of Jacksonville, Fla., Nella Walters of Wisconsin, Fran Ford of Chicago, Ill., Sharon Joyce Stamper, Doris Joan Stamper and Judy Diane Tapley, all of Jeffersonville, Ky.; and a brother, Verl Stamper of Carlisle. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie M. Stamper in 1985; his parents; and two brothers, Maxwell and Michael Stamper. ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Woodside Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted at the graveside by the American Legion Post 218 Honor Guard.
