Wolfe County News - June 1961 GEORGE HOLT DIES IN CAMPTON 17TH George Holt, a prominent retired business man of Campton, died at his home here at 11:05 p.m. Saturday, June 17, after a long illness. He was 82 years of age, a native of Boyle County, a member of the Campton Methodist Church, a former president of the Farmers and Traders Bank, and a charter member of the Wolfe County Kiwanis Club. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Nancy Childress Holt, Campton and three sons, William Holt, Winchester and Edwin Holt, Dayton, Ohio. Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Campton Methodist Church with Rev. Jeff Burton officiating. Burial was in charge of Shackelford and Cox Funeral Home Campton, in Evans Cemetery. Carole Note; Only two sons were given in obit.
