Granville Henderson Spencer married Debra Jane Sparks, daughter of Harvey F. Sparks and Nancy Johnson. I'd like to find Harvey's lineage as well as Nancy's. Granville's grandmother, Temperance, had married James Sparks and had they had 8 children . I think that maybe Harvey F. Sparks is somehow connected with James Sparks. James is the son of Ephraim and Charlotte Sparks. He (I think) had a sister Mary Ann born around 1803 who married Temperance Spencer's brother John Daniel Spencer. There was also another sister, Phoebe, who also married John D. Temperence and James Sparks are my ancestors, their daughter Tempy married John D. Profitt, and their daughter was my great grandmother. In research that I have, James and Harvey were brothers, the sons of Ephriam Sparks, Sr and Charlette. They had sisters Mary who married Patrick Masterson c1825, Phoebe married John D. Spencer, 2 other daughters, Margaret married John Wish, sons William married Minerva Jane Johnson, Ephriam, Jr, John D. married Phoebe Shoemaker and Tobias married Delilah Shoemaker.........12 chrn in all I welcome any info on this family, as what I have is very incomplete.
