Wolfe County News - June 23, 1972 DEATH CLAIMS STELLA MAY ELY Stella May Ely, 81, widow of F.C. Ely, of Gilmore, died at 8:00 p.m. Sunday, June 18, at the Harrison Nursing Home, Lexington, after a long illness. She was a native of Breathitt County and a member of the Methodist Church. She is survived by two sons, Maurice Ely, Gilmore, and Fred Ely, Ypsilanti, Mich.; five daughters, Mrs. Evalee Robinson, and Mrs. Ruby Scott, Ypsilanti, Mich., Mrs. Irene Mead, Dewitt, Mich., Mrs. Anne Perkins, Encinates, California. And Mrs. Joyce Leach, Dayton, Ohio, and a large number of grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 21 at the Gilmore Church of God. Burial was in the Hazel Green Cemetery, at Hazel Green. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Porter and Son Funeral Home, Campton. Carole
