Wolfe County News - Nov. 20, 1970 WOLFE COUNT NATIVE PASSES IN WISCONSIN Funeral services for Addie Mae Drake, 72, of Crandon, Wis., were held Friday, Nov. 6 at 2 p.m. at the St. Luke's United Methodist Church there by Rev. Keith Geil. Burial was in the Crandon Lakeside Cemetery. Mrs. Drake, a Wolfe County native, died at St. Mary's Hospital at Rhinelander, Wis., Monday, Nov. 2. Born April 10, 1898 at Campton, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Georgetta Roberts Spencer. She married Wade Drake Sept. 28, 1916, at Campton and the couple went to Laona, Wis., in 1926 and to Crandon in 1938. Mrs. Drake is survived by her husband, Wade, Crandon; two daughters, Mrs. Earl (Lillian) Gretzinger, Kenosha and Mrs. Duran (Shirley) France, Pikeville, Ky.; three sons, Beverly of Canoga Park, Calif.; Rodney of Kenosha and Kenneth of Milwaukee; three sisters, Mrs. Hiram Spencer of Laona; Mrs. Virgie Kauzrich, Rhinelander, and Mrs. Arthur Schnur of Racine; a half-sister, Mrs. Eliza Brewer, Hazard, Ky.; two brothers, Elijah Spencer of Suring and Claude Spencer, of Crandon, ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
