Wolfe County News - Feb. 21, 1969 FORMER WOLFE RESIDENT DIES AT SALT LICK Mrs. Martha Ann Russell, 70, Salt Lick, died at 11 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 16, at the Midland Church of God of a heart attack. She was a native of Morgan County and the widow of Clarence Russell. Mr. and Mrs. Russell spent most of their lives in Wolfe County. They owned property and reared their family on Baptist Fork before moving to Salt Lick. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Agnes Connelly of Carlisle and Mrs. Irene Pelfrey of Campton; six sons, Lee and Elbert, Salt lick, E.M. and Byrd of Middletown, Ohio and Lawrence of Mt. Sterling; five brothers, eight sisters, and 25 grandchildren. Services were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18 at the Midland Church of God by Rev. Guy McKenzie. Burial was in the Jones Cemetery under the direction of Powell and Son Funeral Home. Carole
