He was born Feb. 11, 1919 to Timothy and Dora (Campbell) Hollon in Campton, KY. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II from 1942 to 1946. He was preceded in death by his Parents, his wife Ada (Tyra) Hollon in 1977, sisters; Edith Tyra and Eunice Carroll; brothers; Raymond, Van and Trulen Hollon. He is survived by 3 daughters; Patricia Johnson of Atlanta, GA, Betty (Tom) Arnold of Middletown, OH, Dora Kay (Roscoe) Newhouse of Adairsville, GA; 3 sons; Verlin (Joyce) Hollon of Franklin, OH, Darrell (Bonnie) Hollon of Middletown, OH and Gary (Jeanne) Hollon of Camden, OH, 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Fri. Feb. 23, 2007 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Baker-Stevens Funeral Home and Sat. Feb. 24, 2007 from 1:00 to 2:00 at First Church of God in Campton, KY. Services will be Sat. Feb. 24, 2007 at 2:00 PM at the Church with the Rev. Doyle Thomas officiating. Interment will! be in Tyra Cemetery in Campton, KY.
