    2. I don't know if this is where Green Kelly got his name, but Kelly Green is a color. According to Wikipedia it is also known as "grass green" or "pigment green". It is the shade of green that is achieved by mixing pigment cyan and pigment yellow in equal proportions. Colored pencils of the 1950s colored this shade were also called "grass green". Dan Brewer

    3. My g-grandfather was Green Brewer. There were so many Greens and Greenberry's, that they would get all mixed up, by genealogists. Also, my grandfather had a brother named Kelly. He died when he was 11, as a tree fell on him. I named my youngest son Kelly Ray. Grandma asked me where I got the name 'Kelly', and I really didn't know, just knew I liked it. Still, neither she nor grandpa said a word about his brother. Funny. My uncle was the one that told about him. So, that got me to wondering, since both are also surnames, and I can't find half of my line farther back than g-g's, if there might be a Green line and a Kelly one. Thanks for the reply.
