I am not related to the Swango family so Im afraid I can not be of further assistance: John Swango Charleston, IL - John C. Swango, 90, of Charleston died at 2:30 p.m. Friday (October 30, 1992) at Cambridge Court Manor. The funeral will be held a 2 p.m. Monday at the Harper-Swickard Chapel with Rev. Barney Wells officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Harper-Swickard Chapel. He was born June 9, 1902, in Wolfe County, Ky., the son of Jesse L. and Rosalee Kash Swango. He married Mary Wilson in 1923; she died in 1989. Surviving are a son John D. Swango of Charleston; a daughter, Mrs Arthur (Sammye Lou) Aikman of Carbondale; four grandchildren and nine greatgrandchildren. He was also preceded in death by six brothers and two sisters.
