Wolfe County News - Nov. 21, 1962 LEE NATIVE DIES OF SHORT ILLNESS Dr. William R. Catron, 36, of Millwoord Drive, Winchester who had practiced denistry there the past seven years, died at 9:30 p.m. Monday night at St. Joseph Hospital after three weeks illness. He was a native of Lee County. A veteran of World War II, he was a member of the First Methodist Church. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Faye Miller Catron, Winchester, two sons, Rickey and Glenn and a daughter Leslie Ann, all at home; his parents, Omer G. Catron and Vergil McClure Catron, both of Campton: two brothers, Robert Catron, Campton and Kenneth Catron of Houston, Texas; a sister, Mrs. J.P. Lawless, Jr., Oak Ridge, Tenn.; paternal grandmother, Mrs. Bertie Catron of Campton and several nieces and nephews. The body is at Scobee Funeral Home and will be brought to Campton, Wednesday. Wolfe County News - March 1960 COURTNEY TOLSON DIES IN HOSPITAL Courtney A. Tolson, 70, died at the Good Samaritan Hosptial, Lexington at 10:40 Thursday, March 3. He was a member of the Church of God. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Tolson; four sons, William P. Tolson, Franklin, Ohio, Fred Tolson of Phoenix, Arizona, Porter Tolson and Emmerson Tolson, both of Middletown, Ohio; five daughters, Mrs. Maxine Wilson, Mrs. Garnet Neal, Mrs. Opal Bolin and Mrs. Ada Shacakelford of Middletown, Ohio, and Mrs. _____Peck, Carlisle, Ohio; one brother, John W. Tolson of Germantown, Ohio and two sisters, Mrs. Nannie Pelfrey and Mrs. Roey Spencer, Campton. Services were held at the Rogers Church of God Sunday. Burial was in the Evans Cemetery. Rev. Lump Osborne and Rev. Omer Spencer officiated. Special music was by Rev. and Mrs. Verne Kirby. Wolfe County News - May 16, 1962 MOLLIE ROBINSON DIES IN DAYTON Mrs. Mollie Robinson, 69, died at 9:35 Monday, May 14 at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton, after a long illness. She was the widow of Virgil Robinson of Hazel Green, and a lifelong resident of Wolfe County. She was a member of the Methodist Church and a long time member of Eastern Star, Hazel Green. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Harry Bell, Middletown, O., and Mrs. Clyde Hughes, Germantown, Ohio, Mrs. Milton Vincent, Dayton, Ohio, and Mrs. Orville Day, Hazel Green; three sons, Herbert Robinson, Ypsilanti, Mich., Robert Robinson, Wilmington, Ohio, Jack Robinson, Hazel Green; also 11 grandchildren, and three great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. J.G. Fallen, Hazel Green, and Mrs. Ralph Williams, Florida. The body was taken to the Hazel Green Christian Church, Hazel Green, from the Herald & Stewart Funeral Home, Tuesday afternoon. Funeral services will be conducted at the church by Rev. Joe Nevius at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Interment in the Hazel Green Cemetery with the Eastern Star conducting funeral rites. Carole

I just posted Bruce Rose's obit. He and first wife, Betty Catherine Shackelford were married in Breathitt County on July 13, 1911. William Fred Rose died March 28, 1993 and Roger Eugene Rose d. March 18, 1994 Bruce's grandson owns or runs a furniture store in West Liberty on a back street behind the Morgan County Library. I'm not sure of his name. Bruce Rose, 82, of Helechawa, a retired farmer and father of two West Liberty businessmen died at 5:15 a.m. Sunday, April 16 at his home after an illness of 14 days. He was a member of Daysboro Christian Church and Lee City Masonic Lodge. Born at Lee City April 17, 1884, he was the son of W.C. Rose and Rebecca May Rose. He is survived by his wife, Malvery Rose of Helechawa; three daughters, Mrs. Clyde C. Allen, Lexington, Mrs. Cecil Gullett, Campton and Mrs. Betty Bruce Rose at home; two sons Eugene Rose and Fred Rose, both of West Liberty and a stepdaughter, Mrs. Louraine Williams of Louisville, one brother, South Rose of Beattyville, 22 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She was born in Wolfe County, Sept. 13, 1890, the daughter of John and Mary Hampton Burnitt. She was the widow of Bruce Banks. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Jeff Taulbee, Sewell and two sons, Bruce Banks, Jr., Dayton, Ohio and Henry Banks, Paris. He ws born on June 25, 1893 in Wolfe County son of Rhodia and Jim Boothe. He was a member of the First Church of God and a Veteran of World War I. Survivors are his wife, Flossie Lumpkins Boothe, Middletown, Ohio; two brothers, Mort Boothe of Campton and Thomas Boothe, Amelia, Ohio, and one sister, Mrs. Mazie Allen of Campton. Funeral services were held at the Church of God, Campton with Rev. Walter Strong officiating. Burial was in the Evans Cemetery in charge of Shackelford and Cox Funeral Home. Pallbearers for the Brack Booth funeral were: Taylor Booth, Orville Booth, Marvin Boothe, Burlin Cable, George Cox, and Stanley Lumpkins. Mr. Boothe's funeral was on his 30th wedding anniversary.
