Wolfe County News - May 15, 1963 Jewell V. Fee, 82, of Campton died in a Beattyville nursing home at 7 p.m. Thursday after a long illness. He was a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ella Fee; two sons, Deville and Park Fee, both of Seattle, Wash.; two daughters, Mrs. Thelma Winn, Columbus, Ind., and Mrs. Delia Rose, Frenchburg; 17 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Services were conducted at 10 a.m. Monday at the Campton Baptist Church by the Rev. James Smith. Burial in the Evans Cemetery. Porter and Son Funeral Home had charge. Carole

She was a native of Wolfe County and was a member of the Church of God. Survivors include her father, Ben Spicer, Zachariah; four sons, Denver Campbell, Campton, Del Campbell, Miamisburg, O., Don Campbell, Rotio, Mo., and Eugene Campbell, Middletown, Ohio; two daughters, Mrs. Unieeda King, and Miss Brenda Sue Campbell, Miamisburg, O., another brother, Jay Campbell, Zachariah; a sister, Mrs. Margaretta Martin, Lexington, and 10 grandchildren. Crow, died at 11:30 p.m. Sunday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Mary Alice Booth, Ecton Road, Winchester, after a long illness. She was a member of the Church of God and a native of Wolfe County. Survivors include two other daughters, Mrs. Charlie Carroll, Clark County, and Mrs. Emma Roberts, Cincinnati, O., a son, Courtney Crow, South Lyon, Mich.; 14 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Services were conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Cable Cemetery in Wolfe County by Rev. George Richardson. Grandsons served as bearers. Burial was under direction of Scobee Funeral Home. Mrs. Crow had been a life-long resident of Wolfe County until she went to lived with her daughter several years ago. She was widely related here. Carole

He was a retired employee of the Lexington Army Depot, a member of the New Hope Baptist Church and a native of Wolfe County. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Linnie Spencer; three daughters Mrs. Lois Shumate, Winchester; Mrs. Jeanette Harrison and Mrs. Betty Clary, both of Lexington, a son, Joseph Spencer, U.S. Army in Germany; a brother, Simeon Spencer, Middletown, O.; a sister, Mrs. Mary Adams, Pine Ridge and 11 grandchildren. Services were conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Fortney and Wells Funeral Home by the Rev. Meredith Thompson. Burial was in Stanton Cemetery. Carole
Wolfe County News - Feb. 1963 ROSA SARGENT DIES AT HOME Mrs. Rosa Sargent, 85, died Feb. 10, at her home at Pine Ridge. She was born in Menifee County and was a member of the Church of God. She is survived by three sons, Mort Sargent, Campton, Marion, Comstock, Mich., and Russell Comstock, Mich., and three daughters, Mrs. Lula Perry, Pine Ridge, Mrs. Nannie Collier, Campton, Mrs. Elizabeth Perry, Pine Ridge; 39 grandchildren, 63 great grandchildren. Funeral held at her home at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, with Rev. Omer Spencer officiating. Burial was in the Ledford Cemetery under the direction of the Porter and Son Funeral Home. Carole
Wolfe County News - 1963 Rowena (Hollon) Moore, 77 of Camden, Ohio RR1, passed away at Middletown Hospital, Middletown, Ohio, Jan. 25, 1963. She leaves her husband, Curtis Moore; a son Vernon Moore, and daughter-in-law, Pauline; five grandchildren; one Carole Jean had lived with her grandparents for 12 years; 2 sisters, Amanda Hollon, Middletown, Ohio; and Bertha Patton, Campton and many friends, and all who knew loved her. She was born May 25, 1885 in Wolfe County. Funeral service was conducted at the First Church of God, Gratis, Ohio, where she was a member. Rev. Stanley C. Hoelle and Rev. Henry Howard conducted the service. Arrangements by Zimmerman and Sons Funeral Home in Gratis, Ohio. She was interred at West Elkton, Ohio. Carole
Wolfe County News - Jan. 9, 1963 LIFELONG WOLFE CITIZEN PASSES William Leck Banks, 87 died at his home on Green Brier, Lee City, after a long illness. Survivors are his six children, Asberry Banks, Rogers, Calvin at home, Ollie Profitt of Campton, Route 1, Roy Banks of Rosefork, Clara Banks at home, Piccola Trent, North Judson, Indiana. Mr. Banks was a lifelong resident of Wolfe County. His wife proceded him in death eight months ago, April 12, 1962. Thanks, Carole. This was my maternal grandfather. He was the son of William Taulbee who was son of Archibald Leander Taulbee, Sr. son of James Taulbee. One of the brothers who was a suvivor , James F. Taulbee, should be James E. Taublee. His middle name was Estill. Mother always called him "Uncle Estill."
