Very interesting, Velma! Thanks for the info! I had Reese as the first child born to Benjamin Franklin Rose and Rachel Jett, but I noticed his date of birth is about 4 years before Ben & Rachel marriage date (that really doesn't mean very much, but could.) I'd be most interested in your data on Lizzie Banks! I don't have her listed at all. Thanks again for the info. BTW, Reese died in 1930, and is buried in the Lee Rose Cemetery in LeRose, Ky. The 21 years old soldier was slain during a counter-attack while returning from a combat mision. Albert Eugene Rose, the second South Lyon casualty, was assigned to the U.S. Army's 46th Infantry. He enlised in the Army on Aug. 10, 1967 after attending South Lyon High School. He underwent eight weeks of basic training at Fort Knox, Ky., and eight weeks of advanced training at Fort Ord, Calif., before being sent to Baumholder, Germany on Dec. 29, 1967. On three different occasions during his 65 day leave, he motored to Wolfe County to visit relatives. He was guest of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Burton and family just before leaving for Vietnam. When they received the death message, they could hardly believe it, since they didn't think he could have reached Vietnam in such a short time. Besides his parents, he is survived by two sisters, Mrs. James (Patricia) Deaton of South Lyon, Mich., and Katherine, 13, at home; three brothers, Daniel, 16, Kenneth, 9, and Phillip, 7 all at home, paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Rose, Bethany, Ky., maternal grandfather, Morton Taulbee, South Lyon, formerly of Wolfe County. I didn't find them in the Wolfe Census and Wm. H. is buried alone in the Tutt-Faulkner Cemetery in Wolfe County. Didn't find a death certificate filed for Nannie Faulkner either. I found Leonard and Rhoda's marriage in Menifee County a few years ago. I didn't copy anything on this, not my family lines, but I was familiar with the names. It's possible that these Faulkners and Roe's were natives of Menifee County and not Wolfe.
