    3. Granville Henderson Spencer married Debra Jane Sparks, daughter of Harvey F. Sparks and Nancy Johnson. I'd like to find Harvey's lineage as well as Nancy's. Granville's grandmother, Temperance, had married James Sparks and had they had 8 children . I think that maybe Harvey F. Sparks is somehow connected with James Sparks. James is the son of Ephraim and Charlotte Sparks. He (I think) had a sister Mary Ann born around 1803 who married Temperance Spencer's brother John Daniel Spencer. There was also another sister, Phoebe, who also married John D. Spencer. 1850 Census of Owsley County dwelling 112 family 112 Spencer, John D. age 42, male, occupation Farmer, Real Estate Value $3000.00, Place of Birth Virginia Phebe age 42, female, place of birth Virginia Nancy age 18, female, place of birth Virginia Joseph, age 16, male, occupation Farmer, place of birth Kentucky Charlotty age 13, female, place of birth Kentucky John age 12, male, place of birth Kentucky David age 9, male, place of birth Kentucky Isaac age 7, male, place of birth Kentucky George W. age 4, male, place of birth Kentucky Tobias Sparks age 20 male, occupation Laborer, place of birth Virginia Peggy Sparks age 18, female, place of birth Virginia I wonder if Tobias Sparks and Peggy Sparks are Phoebe's siblings, or nephew and niece. Any help appreciated, especially in tying in Harvey F. Sparks' father Ephraim with James Sparks who married Temperance. For all I know, I may have misconceptions about them, but I'd certainly appreciate any thing anyone knows about them. Thanks, Shirley Brewer Watkins

    3. My Wolfe County ancestors are: LITTLE NICKELL BRYANT MINTON WILSON My GGG Grandparents were: REV. CHARLES LITTLE, son of PETER D. LITTLE and HANNAH MINTON. and Charle's wife was CHARLOTTE [LOTTIE] BRYANT LITTLE. Charles and Lottie Little had about 21 children in Morgan or Wolfe Co., Ky. and one of their sons, GREENVILLE T. LITTLE married ELIZABETH NICKELL and they were my GG Grandparents. They were the first in their families to move to Texas. My Great Grandfather, JUDGE CARSON LITTLE was named after a judge in Wolfe Co., named Judge Carson, my great aunt told me. My great grandfather went by the name of Carson Little. The Wilson comes from Elsy Wilson who was married to John Nickell III, [Black John]. She was born on May 13, 1768 in Morgan Co. Ky. and I think her parents were Andrew Wilson and Francis Craig. My Nickell line goes back from my GG Grandmother, Elizabeth Nickell to her parents, John B. Nickell and Elizabeth [Betsy] Baker and then Robert F. Nickell and Mary Polly Nickell were cousins and the parents of John B. Nickell. This Nickell family goes on back to John Nickell who came from Ireland to America. I am descended from his first wife, a Lewis. The family that I know nothing about is the family of CHARLOTTE BRYANT. Charlotte [Lottie] Bryant was born on Dec. 25, 1809 in Kentucky. She married Charles Little in 1824 in Morgan Co, Ky. and she died on Sunday, July 4, 1887 and was buried at Lacy Creek. I know nothing about who her family could have been, her parents or siblings. Sure would like to find out who they were. Jane Little McEndree from Texas
