    3. Does anybody know how this Stokely Trent ties into the Wolfe County Trents? At first I thought it was Stokeley Trent, son of Henry Trent but that Stokely was born about 1848. Dying in 1972 that would have made him 124 and I'm sure would have broken all kinds of world records! So, logically, this Stokely must have been somebody's son and possibly the grandson of Henry Trent. If anyone can help me clear this up I'd be very appreciative! Thanks, Sandy

Wolfe County News - Aug. 1972 WOLFE COUNTY NATIVE PASSES Mrs. Lennie Hollon Land, Lancaster, died at 6:35 p.m. Friday, Aug. 4, in the Gerrard County Hospital following an illness of about four months. A retired school teacher and widow of the late John Land, she was the daughter of the late J.B. Hollon and Rosa Bell Byrd Hollon. She began her education in Wolfe County and completed her studies at Hazel Green Academy. She attended Berea College for one year. It was not until 1961 that Mrs. Land received her B.S. Degree from Eastern State Teacher's college. She was 66 years of age at the time. This had been a life long ambition. She had previously taught in the Gerrard County School system. She was a community leader in numerous capacities. In 1934 she received national recognition for her work as a 4-H leader at the Chicago World Fair. She was a charter member of the Lancaster Chapter of the D.A. R. and the Gerrard County Homemakers and was recognized on a nation level as "Outstanding Rural Club Woman." She spent much of her spare time writing and had been correspondent for the Advocate Messenger of Danville for the past eight years. Mrs. Land is survived by a son, J.B. Land, Lancaster; three sisters, Mrs. B. Noel (Iva), and Mrs. Ruth Condon, both of Tulsa, Okla., and Mrs. O.R. Henderson of El Cajon, Calif.; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted on Monday afternoon of this week at 2 p.m. at the Lancaster Baptist Church where she was an active member until her illness. Burial was in the Lancaster Cemetery. Taulbee, 93, of 1525 Old Kentucky #15, Campton, Kentucky died Tuesday, January 21, 2003 at Wolfe County Health Care Center following a long illness. She was the daughter of the late Burl Scott and Isa Ramey Rakes and a retired teacher from the Wolfe County School System. She was a member of Antioch Missionary Church and Wolfe County Retired Teachers Association. She is survived by her son, Darrell Taulbee, Campton, KY; 2 daughters, Carole Sue Collinsworth, Campton, KY, and Anna Jo Spencer, Smith Grove, KY; sisters, Ina Bentley, Ashville, NC, and June Rakes, Richlands, VA; a half brother, L.T.
