I believe that Carole is correct. Five to six miles southeast of Campton, there is a geographical triple point where Wolfe, Lee and Breathitt Counties all meet. It is a rather rugged area where the Kentucky River briefly bends in and out of Wolfe County as it flows from Breathitt into Lee. This is the area known as Pelfrey's Bend populated in part by members of the Pelfrey family that settled in Breathitt; Pelfrey's live there still. It is an area where you cannot always be certain which county you are standing in. I cannot explain why, on occasion, it seems to be referred to as "Puckett's Bend". However, to the Pelfrey family it has been known as "Pelfrey's Bend" for quite a long time. The name in part, refers to the sharp bends in the Kentucky River as it snakes in and out of Wolfe. There are a number of cemeteries in that area. Sharon, Unfortunately, I am still looking. Do you have any clues or suggestions? Sue ``````````````````````````````` Original post: The Henry WEBB I'm trying to identify was born about 1836 somewhere in KENTUCKY. His parents and siblings are unknown. He married Mary DUNN about 1855, probably in Morgan County. Their first child, John W. WEBB was born in Stillwater, Morgan County on 10 March 1856. Mary DUNN is the daughter of John and Elizabeth TAULBEE DUNN. Known children of Henry and Mary DUNN WEBB are: John W., Greenberry, Evaline, Sarah E., James, Susan Arminta (my ggrandmother), Reuben, Samuel H., Robert G, and Rosa. Mary DUNN WEBB died between 1880 and 1900. The 1900 census lists Henry WEBB in Powell County living next to his son Reuben. Hopefully, someone will recognize this family and help me break through my brickwall. Sue Sullivan _suesullivanokc@aol.com_ (mailto:suesullivanokc@aol.com)
