He retired as a machinist from Dayton Progress in West Carrollton. While re-verifying and re-compiling some of my data, I’ve come across a few interesting facts: * Birth Name: Her middle name was apparently Caroline. Her birth name was listed as Isabellah C. Elkins (i.e. Isabellah Caroline Elkins) on her 1858 birth record shows. Two years later in the 1860 census, she is listed as just Caroline. * Birth Date: Her birth record shows April 17th as the birth date, while her headstone shows April 14th. So it is a coin toss for the time being on which is correct. * Marriage Record: She is listed as Carolina on her marriage record.
