That reminds me I did a little Ancestry.com work and tied a possible William P Butler through different searches. (I have some Butlers in my family - but this person doesn't seem to fit any of my list.) I found a William P Butler b. 1 AUG 1915 in Breathitt county to a Margaret Napper. It is in the 1975 volume so it must be a re-issue on the birth certificate. Ky Births. Then US enlistment has a William P Butler 14 October 1942; Huntington WVA and the residence is listed as Wolfe KY. b.1915 Then Social Security Death Index has William P Butler b. 1 Aug 1915 in KY d 7 Oct 1991 OHIO. SS# was issued out of California. Ohio Deaths has William Pearl Butler b. 1 AUG 1915 d. 7 OCT 1991 in Washington County Courthouse OHIO as a resident of PIKE County OHIO Widowed Rutherford B Hayes Obituary Information has William P Butler - Parents Thomas and Margaret; Spouse Mary Emily Schwartz Marriage 3JUL1959 (probably a second or third as he was 44 and is listed as M on his 1942 US Enlistment supposing they are all the same person of course.) The US Enlistment has the Butler as a Branch Immaterial - Warrant Officers, USA and his skill as Semiskilled chauffeurs and drivers, bus, taxi, truck, and tractor The death certificate of the William P Butler has his industry as Motor vehicles and motor vehicle equipment. Note: In November of 1942, the position of Warrant Officer was defined by the War Department in the rank order as being above all enlisted personnel and immediately below all commissioned officers. In some ways this might be the same person but am just linking a dates and names together into a necklace as I don't know him personally. Oddly, even with this much information I can't find any census on him and no family trees show up either. Do any of these names work with what you know? ________________________________ From: James Maxwell <james_m_maxwell@yahoo.com> To: "kywolfe@rootsweb.com" <kywolfe@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, August 30, 2011 10:10 PM Subject: Re: [KYWOLFE] WW2/William P.
