Wolfe County News - June 25, 1982 NEVILLE DRAKE DIES SUNDAY OF HEART ATTACK Neville Drake, 65, of Campton d. in the Veterans Administration Hospital in Lexington, June 20, of an apparent heart attack. Mr. Drake was a Wolfe County native and was a s/o the late James and Dora Cable Drake. He was a retired security guard and was a member of the Cox Masonic Lodge NO. 464 and of the Order of Eastern Star. He also was a veteran of World War II during which he was a prisoner of war. He is survived by five brothers, Wade and Carter Drake of Wisconsin, Ballard, Fred, and Seldon Drake, all of Campton; two sisters, Ida Whisman of Middletown, Ohio and Myrtle Little of Campton. Burial in the Evans Cemetery with Shackelford Funeral Home in charge. Carole
Wolfe County News - July 29, 1983 RAY TRENT DIES JULY 21 Ray Trent, 54, of Zachariah died July 21 at the Appalachian Regional Hospital in West Liberty. Mr. Trent was a native of Wolfe County, a farmer and a member of the Baptist Church. He was a son of the late James and Nannie Turner Trent. Survivors include his wife, Ethel Johnson Trent, three sons, Jimmy? Trent, Jeffery Trent, Gregory Trent all of Zachariah: four daughters, Sharron Flinchum, Nancy Young, both of Winchester, Charlene Brewer of Zachariah and Nellie Bellamy of Leeco; three brothers, Raleigh Trent of Crystal, KY, Calvin Trent and Sammy Trent, both of Zachariah; four sisters, Cindy Crawford of Irvine, Clara Flinchum of Richmond, Mae Flinchum and Bulah Gentry, both of Zachariah, and four grandchildren. Burial in the Trent Family Cemetery at Torrent with Porter and Son funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Carold
Wolfe County News - Oct. 28, 1988 Alvie Culbertson, 90 of Nim Henson Geriatric Center, Jackson d. Oct. 20 at the nursing center following an extended illness. Mrs. Culbertson was a native of Wolfe County, a retired cook for Wolfe County School system and attended the Church of God. She was the daughter of the late Leander and Melissa Spencer Brooks. Her husband, Raney Culbertson preceded her in death. Survivors are two sons, Everett Culbertson of Stanford, Kentucky and Stanley Culbertson of Campton; four daughters, Mrs. Maxine Miller of Campton, Mrs. Leona Brown of Camden, Ohio, Mildred Brown of Gratis, Ohio, and Audrey Collins of Richmond, Ind.; 22 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. Burial in the Spencer-Culbertson Cemetery at Callaboose in Wolfe County with Porter and Son Funeral Home of Campton in charge of arrangements. Carole
Wolfe County News - Oct. 28, 1988 Chester Brewer, former Wolfe Countian, and the husband of Virgie Stamper Brewer, passed away Sept. 12, 1988 in Middletown, Ohio. He leaves two sons, Henrick and Teddie Brewer. He was the son of the late Valentine and Ada Rose Brewer, nephew of Hobart and Ida Brewer of Baptist Fork. He also leaves two sisters, Russia Mae Yeary, and Eliza Yeary, and two brothers, Crit Brewer and Eugene Brewer, all former Wolfe Countians. Chester Brewer was born Jan. 21, 1914. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. Carole

Mrs. Tolson was a native of Wolfe County and a member of the Baptist Church. She had resided in Lexington for 12 years. Survivors are her mother, Lula Tolson of Campton; one daughter, Sharon Bailey of Lexington, one son, Bobby Tolson of Lexington, one granddaughter, Kimberly Bailey of Lexington, six sisters, Bertha Brewer of Stanton, Anna Cox of Campton, Helen McPherson of Brookville, Florida, Blanche Miller of Covington, Mildred Allen of Winchester, and Faye Richardson of Crittenden. Wolfe County News - March 1, 1974 WILLIE PATTON OF VORTEX DIES Willie Patton, 66, husband of Nannie Frances Hounshell Patton of Campton, died at the University Hospital at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, of a heart attack. He was a native of Wolfe County and a farmer in the Vortex Community for over 50 years. Other survivors besides his wife include four daughters, Mrs. Sucille? Profitt, Campton, Mrs. Betty Johnson of Lexington, Mrs. Esther Hughes and Mrs. Dorothy Pence, both of Dayton, Ohio; one brother, Darley Patton, Kenosha, Wisconsin; one sister, Mrs. Minnie Truss, Kenosha, Wisconsin, and eight grandchildren.
