    2. Hello List Members and Researchers! This is my first time to post, so I hope I dont break any rules :) Looking for parents/brothers/sisters of Ransom STANAFORD b. VA 1822 (Various spelling include Stanifer, Standiford, Stannaford, etc.) He married Joicy Rose d/o Ephraim Rose and Hannah Lee, in 1846, most likely in Whitley Co. He may be buried in Brier Creek Cemetery, but have no proof. I have found his immediate family on the 1850, 60, 70, 80 Census in Whitley Co. KY. He and his wife cannot be found in 1900. I would assume they had passed way by this time. I cannot find him or any similar Surname in Whitley Co. in 1840. If there is I would sure like to know. Children of Ransom Stanaford and Joicy Rose; Eliza, *may have married Joseph Hatfield Charity *Could be Charlotte, may have married James Smith Martin V.B. m. Leanna Renner, moved to Webster Co. MO Francis M. m. Amanda Unknown, Died in Whitley Co. KY Samantha, m. Jesse Jones Luvina, m. Simon Joel Jones and may have moved to Eastland Co. TX George W. m. Maggie Moore, Died in Whitely Co. KY Martha, may have married Ayers Roach and moved to AL. Sampson, m. Jane Unknown Lorenzo, m. Rachel Eva Meadors/Meadows, moved to Eastland Co. TX Ransom Stanaford Recieved a Land Grant 1890, 50 acres, Briar Creek. And 2 Land patents, 1852 100 Acres in Wolf Creek, and 1852 100 Acres in Cane Creek. I would love to hear from anyone with information, advise, or connection to this family. Also.... Would anyone know where to write for the Death Record of Ransom Stanaford or If it is even possible with a death date bet. 1880-1890. Thanks so much for your time and attention. Kathy I
