Joe, Here are a couple of possibilities to check out: Mary J. Sharp was the second wife of Francis (Frank) M. Petrey b. 23 Jan 1857 (first wife was Eliz "Lizzie" Siler). Frank was the son of Samuel Petrey b. 1822 (son of Adam & Frankie Petrey) and Elizabeth Bryant b. 1822. Mary Jane Petrey b. 12 Mar 1847, daughter of Isaac Petrey & Matilda Adkins, md. Carol, Thamk you for your reply. Mary J. Sharp would seem to be the most likely to be the one I'm looking for, but Frank and Lizzie were still married in 1900, which means he didn't marry Mary until later than the affadavit when my Mary was named Petrey. Samuel and Elizabeth Petrey did live near Nathan Lawson in 1850. Do you know know if they had a daughter named Mary?
