Denise, I am also part of the Lawson line in Whitley County. My line was lost also and took a tremendous amount of help from the wonderful people on the Whitley County list to solve. My line was my brick wall for years before I started asking a million questions and the people here were patient enough to answer all of them. My line goes Frank Wesley Lawson, son of Joseph L. Lawson, who is the son of David Perry Lawson, who is the son of Henry Lawson who married Delila Harp. My other suggestion is to contact the Whitley County Historical Society. They are wonderful with help with research questions from Whitley and also send out a newsletter four times a year called "Whitley Branches". Through them I was able to obtain a marriage bond and license from 1876 and I even got lucky enough to get a hand written note from the father of the bride. I am not home at the moment to get you the information to contact them but some one on line here probably could help us out or you can contact me again and I will get the info for you. Denise, A George Lawson married a Frances "Frankie" Wilson on 1-14-1870. In the 1880 ED #114 Whitley census, they had children: Mary E. age 8(could this be Lizzie?) King D. age 6 (? David) Nancy J. age 4 Barbery A. age 2 (? Alice?) William W. age 11/12 I suspect but have no proof that this George Lawson is the s/o William Lawson b. abt. 1817 and Elizabeth Bennett b. abt. 1820/25.
