I was not notified either, but happened to be looking at Hollers obits on the internet, and saw her name listed, I called A. J. but was unable to reach him for a while. He finally called me back and said that she had had surgery for circulation in her legs, her sons went home and the hospital called them back around 12:30 a.m., stating that she had passed away. I just presume from a blood clot. I was in total shock! In 1990 I instigated a Hollers Family Reunion in Longview, TX., A. J., Alma and Doris all came, that is the first time I had met them, and they were just like cousins to me. In fact, if we can ever figure out the connection, I believe we will rake up kin. For several years we had Hollers Reunions, 3 different times in Somerset, KY., just had a ball. Has been years since we have tried again, due to burn-out, I think? You just can not put together a Reunion from a distance via telephone. Now I am getting so old and decrepid (sp) that I am unable to travel, much less do any walking. Anyway, to make a long story short, Alma, A. J., & Doris' ancestor, Wm. Hollers who married Emilia Nevins/Nevells, and my grt grandfather, Alberton/Albert/Burt Holler were supposedly born in Whitley Co., KY. Some census says TN., so I do not know what is right? I have never found the parents of my Albert Hollers, and lost him in OK. after 1910 Census. Still searching!
