Dear Monty, I am quite familiar with both of the locations you mention. I lived in the Gap o'the Ridge area for most of my childhood. You will not find it on a map unless you can find an old map of the school districts of Whitley Co. A two-room school was located there, but it was torn down many years ago. The Faddis Cemetery is also called the Old Steele Cemetery and is at the Gap o'the Ridge. As a child I used to go there with my great-grandmother to clean off the graves of her second husband George W. Davis and his first wife. I have the map from the Cornelius Cemetery Book, Vol. 1, but I am not sure you can find the cemetery from that map. Do you plan to go there? If so, I will give you the best instructions I can.
