Cousins, I seem to have mislaid my gr-gr-gr-grandfather Samuel Slone. Born in Harlan Co. KY abt 1827. Moved to VA when young. Married x 2: 1. Elizabeth Clark 2. Susan Children by Elizabeth all born in Lee Co. VA 1860 census: Lee Co. VA 1870: Knox CO. KY 1880: Menifee Co. KY 1890: on tax list of Laurel Co. KY 1900: 1910: Back in Laurel Co. KY, where he died shortly after the census was taken, & buried in Laurel. His 2nd wife also died in Laurel, in 1901. I figure he might have been visiting one of his married children, who lived all over Southeast KY: Knox, Whitley, Bell, or whatever unknown county is harboring all my lost relatives. (You know, Brigadoon, KY?) A few relatives also lived in Campbell Co. TN. They used every conceivable spelling variation. Puuuuhhhh- LEEEEZE help me find him in 1900.
