Ferby, I tried all name variants in the 1850 Whitley Co. Ky. census for your America Bryant, and could find nothing on her. I even tried just Kentucky, and still no America. I did however find an America Bryant, in the 1860 Whitley Co. census. 1860 Whitley Co. Ky., Woodbind P. O., page 725. 715/664 Wm. F. or T., Hood, age 30, farmer, b. Va. Mary, age 51, b. Va. Franklin, age 8, b. Ky. America Bryant, age 11, b. Ky. Wm. Raynolds, age 44, b. Ky. Candis?, female, age 18, b. Ky. This would put America at about the right age for the one you are looking for though. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. Nancy
