Jan, I hope this is your Reynolds because we've been looking for more info on this family. Elizabeth "Betty" Reynolds, a widow, in 1889 came to what would become Yukon, Canadian county, Oklahoma. She came with her daughter Samantha "Alice" Reynolds who had m. Josiah Smith in Jellico,TN 10-12-1886. Alice was b. 11-11-1867 in Lot, Whitley county. Her b. Joe Reynolds also lived with the Smiths in Oklahoma. There are several Smith, Siler and Faulkners who lived in this same area. Bios on some of the families were found in a book in the Canadian county Genealogical Library. I found Elizabeth Reynolds in the Whitley 1880 census as a 32 y/o widow with 6 children ages 3-12. I haven't been able to find out who the deceased father of this family was. I haven't any more info on what became of Joe Reynolds in later life. The other children in the 1880 census were Samuel age 11, George age 8, Marshall age 7, Susannah age 5. Samantha "Alice" was 12 and Joseph was 3. Elizabeth Reynolds 10-6-1848 to 10-15-1912 is buried at Frisco cemetery which is near Yukon, Oklahoma. I would sure appreciate hearing from anyone with any more info on this family.
