Is anyone on the list descended from Eljah HARP and Elizabeth LEWIS who md c1815/1825-Claiborne Co., TN but settled in Whitley Co, raised family of 13 dau's and 1 son per the book "Old Time Tazewell" by Mary A. HANSARD, the author b1825-ClaiborneCo,TN & died there 1899. I have lots of info on the LEWIS side of family, Elizabeth being oldest d/o Fielding LEWIS SR & Mary GAMBILL, but know nothing about Elijah HARP or names of their children. Assume 2 wives of Joel S. POWERS (Elizabeth HARP and Talitha HARP) might be from this family, although there is another Elijah HARP who md Frances FUGATE 12-19-1840 in Laurel Co., KY who was s/o Thomas HARP & Betsy MURPHY. I do not know if there was relationship between these 2 Elijah HARP men or if they were related to HARP families mentioned in recent messages on this List.
