I would also like to know if Lucinda Evans that married John Wesley Siler was connected to the Evans of Bell County. My GG grandmother was Elizabeth Mary "Betty" Evans who married Shelton Clayton Partin. Her parents were Rev. William H. Evans and Margaret "Peggy" Bull. Mary Siler
Do you know who Lucinda Evans's parents are? I descend from the Evans family of Bell Co who possibly were a part of the Whitley Co Evanses. Lucinda is a fairly common name in our Evans family. Bill: I noticed that you are researching Wyatts. I found some court documents linking the Wyatts to the McIntosh line that I am researching for my granddaughter. Do you have any info on a tie between the Wyatt family and the McIntosh family (went to Mercer County, Missouri.) Hi Evelyn, I'm wondering if that isn't my Robin Bains and might be where he is buried. I know he worked at the courthouse in Whitley County in 1809 and I know he lived near Barbourville, Kentucky in the Cumberland River area. We just haven't been able to find out where he is buried. We also have Bunch in our line. One of Robin's wives were Ollie and the other was Sally or Sarah. Any help would be most appreciated. Thank you, Joan ----- Original Message ----- From: "Evelyn E. Hi Mary Being you can't send the link, how about sending just the address. That would be a big help. While I've got you here, I just wanted to say how much I appreciate the help you so willingly offer. Sharing and helping neighbors is something our mountain ancestors considered a way of life. So nice to see it reflected here on this list by so many of their descendants. ......Lois > > I can't seem to make that link work on rootsweb of the Whitley County > Cemeterys that are on line. HI, I've been working on a Taylor site that deals with Taylors from this part of KY. There is info up connected with Pulaski, Whitley, McCreary, Wayne, and Owsley Co KY, as well as Ashe Co NC, and Montgomery and Fincastle Cos VA. There is a search engine for the site to make it easy to find your Taylor. The address is: www.geocities.com/valoriespence Thanks........Valorie Taylor Spence --------------------------------------------------- War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things.
