Bobbie, While researching Carrs I found a couple of trees on the Rootsweb Worldconnect project that show Elizabeth Carr married to a George W. Bolin b. 1845. Since this would've been the age of my George Bolin, I dug further to find the George, husband of Elizabeth, living with her parents Andrew and Elizabeth Kerr ED113 1880 Whitley where George was age 22. In 1880, my George Bolin was in ED114 family #460 age 35 with wife Louisa. I'm pretty sure the researhers on Rootsweb mistook my George for the one married to Elizabeth Kerr/Carr because of the 1900 Whitley census Rockholds pct. where a George Bolin is listed with son Steven. Steven Bolin is my greatgrandfather. My George Bolin had a brother named Anderson b. 1852 who was called "Doc". I don't have any info on the Killions. I know there were some Killians in Knox county,KY in the 1800's. Thank you Mary! I'm interested in this family, and would love to exchange with anyone with info on who their relatives were. Presley died in the Civil War in 1862 while wife Nancy (Winkler) and children were in route to Indiana. Does anyone know more about this family? There was also a 3 yr old child Presley (Preston) in the 1860 Knox census who may have been related. Maybe related to Harris, Mullis, Goins? Bobbie, I agree that R.E. Bolen is probably George W.'s mother. In the 1880 Whitley ED #113 pg. 207C census George Bolin age 22 and wife Elizabeth age 19 are living with her parents Andrew and Elizabeth Kerr/Carr. They have a 6 month old daughter Mary Bolin. Also in this household is 11 y/o Elizabeth Bolin who probably is George's sisterwho was age 6/12 in 1870. I agree that the 1860 census would be a good one to check. According to the 1870 and 1880 census, George W. Bolin would've been born abt. 1858. I think some Carr researchers have mistaken my gggrandfather George Marion Bolin b. 4-24-1845 as the one who married Elizabeth Carr. He also had a brother named Anderson who b. in 1852. Hi Joe and Terry, So sorry I cannot help with unidentified females, I would dearly like to know as well. I am very interested in George b.abt 1858(?). The oldest unidentified female of 1870 could be the mother of George, and so I'm very interested in her. Would the 1860 census be helpful; she, R.
