We invite you to visit our Hopkins County Genealogical Society Our New Location: 14 Court Street Madisonville, Kentucky (right across the street from the court house..) Will be open Tuesday Dec. 15 . Our winter hours will be *Tuesday thru* *Thursday **12:00** **noon** to * *4:00 PM**, Friday, **10:00 am to 3:00 pm**. We will be closed on Mondays. * There is ample parking during these hours on Court Street as well as South Main Street plus the McGary Place lot just around the corner on South Main has parking. Please remember that on-street parking is limited to 2 hours. We have two computers for visitor research and one computer for our volunteers to use to help with research, three copiers, a map cabinet which holds our collection of maps, our microfilm/microfiche reader, and three rooms for research (the Kentucky Room, the Family History Room, the Other States room) and a small room for reading or miscellaneous research using your laptop. Each of these rooms has a work table and chairs. Our internet service will be in place in the next several days after which we will have Ancestry.com and Heritage Quest available.
