Hopkins County Genealogical Society invites you to attend...do not have to be a member...all visitors welcome The monthly meeting of the Hopkins County Genealogical Society will be held at The Center for Cultural & Professional Development, (the old L&N Depot), 38 West Arch Street, Madisonville, KY, on Monday, April 26, 2010, at 7:00 o’clock PM (CDT). (Please take note of meeting date change). The program will be presented by Ms. Elma Baker, age 94, formerly of Bardstown, Kentucky, who is a descendant of patriot Patrick Henry. Ms. Baker will share some stories of her family’s journey through the Cumberland Gap and her childhood growing up in the area where Abraham Lincoln spent his early years.
