    1. Re: [KYWEBSTE] Liles Cemetery in Webster Co., KY - is in Henderson CO instead
    2. Marian, Thanks for updating me. That was an old query of mine. I must have remembered about the bulldozing but forgot where I found it. I will call the Henderson Co., KY genealogy Center next week. I had taken photos and copied names in a very old cemetery on land my family owned back in the 1800's and put the data on Webster Co., KY site on genweb. This is another family who was related to the Liles but their surname was Jones. The cemetery is on private property but luck for me it is still held by members of the Jones family and we are related. I am hoping someone there has done the same thing for the Liles cemetery. Thanks so much, Janet In a message dated 6/28/2013 3:41:06 P.M. Eastern Daylight Time, dunnm@roadrunner.com writes: Janet, I did some research when you gave me the names of John and Dorcas Liles. According to the information I received Liles Cemtery is in Henderson County and not Webster. The Henderson Co. Genelogy Center is only open on Tuesdays and Thursdays and you can call them @ 270-830-7514. Here is a site my daughter found and someone said there were two Liles/Lyles Cemeteries and one was bulldozed. You can look here and next week contact the HHGC to see if they know anymore. http://boards.ancestry.com/thread.aspx?mv=flat&m=406&p=surnames.liles Marian -----Original Message----- From: JANLWH@aol.com Sent: Friday, June 28, 2013 12:35 PM To: kywebste@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [KYWEBSTE] Liles Cemetery in Webster Co., KY The Liles family is: John (b.1781 in NC. Lived in Webster (is was Henderson then) and died around the 1850's. His wife was Dorcas b. 1782 in SC and died around the in the 1850's. There would also be a Mary Liles b. circa 1770's or earlier and died circa 1820-30 or a bit later. There would also be a John Liles b. circa 1750-60 and died in the 1820-30's and his wife unknown name and age. I think I saw something about the "Old Liles Cemetery" being in disarray at the Henderson Co., genealogy center. Thanks, Janet In a message dated 6/28/2013 12:37:45 P.M. There are some unknown name cemeteries so if you can give me more information I will try to look further. Do you have the dates (birth or death) for the people below which will also help in my search? Marian -----Original Message----- From: JANLWH@aol.com Sent: Friday, June 28, 2013 9:43 AM To: kywebste@rootsweb.com Subject: [KYWEBSTE] Liles Cemetery in Webster Co., KY Does anyone know if there is a list of people buried in the Liles Cemetery in Webster Co., KY. I am trying to find information on the Liles family from SC who migrated circa 1810-1816 to Webster (then Henderson Co., KY). There was a John and John Sr. and wives, a Mary and a Robert and family.
