Have you gone to the Court House in Dixon? They have many records. They have an attic where many records are stored but many are just in card files and not easy to go thru. Back in the 1990's I found the Will of my ggggf. It was the original paper wrapped up in an old rubber band. I did not copy it (sorry to say). Several years later, I went back to the attic and could not find it. But it is there. Perhaps, now they have the files in alphabetical order. I have not checked those files. Thanks for the tip. -----Original Message----- From: kywebste-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:kywebste-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Nancy Pattullo Sent: Friday, April 30, 2010 9:32 PM To: kywebste@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [KYWEBSTE] James Russell-Amanda Townsend Did you go to the Historical Society in Dixon, Ky.? Betty Townsend, now deceased, donated her research on the Townsend family to the Society. She was a good friend of mine, and I know she did a lot of research and documentation on the Townsends. > From: dcole41@gmail.com > To: KYWEBSTE-L@rootsweb.com > Date: Fri, 30 Apr 2010 19:55:08 -0400 > Subject: [KYWEBSTE] James Russell-Amanda Townsend > > James and Amanda married in Hopkins Co, KY on Aug. 31, 1848.
