According to http://www.rootsweb.com/~kywebste/towns.htm#Blackford Blackford is just across the Tradewater from Crittenden County. Crittenden County was formed in 1842 from Livingston County but as far as I know, no land was taken from Crittenden County when Webster was formed in 1860, from parts of Henderson, Union and Hopkins Counties. Check out this web site and click on County Formation maps: http://www.mykentuckygenealogy.com/ky_maps.htm My guess is the Blackford area was in Union County at one time and Union was taken from Henderson in 1811. Let us know if you figure it out. <grin> Carole Palmer Webster County KYGenWeb http://www.rootsweb.com/~kywebste/
