KYGenWeb state coordinator Sherri Bradley has put in place a great new Google search feature for Kentucky researchers and I've added it to the Webster County site. It's a statewide search engine for the *entire KYGenWeb Project.* It searches the files at http://www.kygenweb.net, each Kentucky county site, the KYGenWeb Special Projects and the KY USGenWeb Archives. So for those of you whose families lived in several counties around the state, now you can search your surnames for *all Kentucky counties* instead of going to each county site individually and searching. Of course, if you want to search *only the Webster County site* for your surnames, you can still do that using our countywide search box with the heading SEARCH THIS SITE. To avoid confusion the new statewide search box is about halfway way down the main page of the Webster County homepage and is marked with a bright red "NEW" logo. The link to the Webster County site is in my signature line below, as usual. Hope it's not as hot and dry where you are as it is here in Kentucky.
