Joanne: If you would like to e-mail me direct and give me James B.Vaughn's parents and siblings, I would love to have that. Unfortunately, no one ever seems to have anything on these Williams'. I have been trying to get some of the W.KY Williams male descendants to do dna testing. In particular, I would like to see a Williams surnamed male descendant of Burrell Williams tested. The Williams site at FTDNA Williams has a fund which will pay 60% of the cost. I am more than happy to pay the other 40%. For those who don't know what the test entails, it is a simple swab of each cheek 8 hours apart. The swabs are inserted into vials which are then mailed to FTDNA. Results are usually back within about 6 wks. This is my only hope of eliminating and/or proving that my Dad (who is 90+) descends from Burrell. This test is strictly for use in our Williams genealogy and really isn't good for any other purpose. Thank you so much for your reply Joanne. And now I see that you gave her parents' names (for some reason, your second email came before your first one!). I don't know anything about the Williams family, but I have information on James B. Vaughn's mother Minerva Eddings's family if you need it.
