    3. Greetings, Webster County researchers, I hope spring has arrived where you live. It arrived here in central Kentucky in late March; then it retreated for a week. We are hoping for better things starting tomorrow and that spring will soon be here to stay. Vonette Shelton Curtis has sent us her "Shelton Acorns" manuscript - the history of Vonette's Sheltons who came to western Kentucky in the early 1800's. Take a look: http://www.rootsweb.com/~kywebste/families/shelton/acorns-index.htm Today Carol Williams Huff sent me an updated annotation for her family's 1860 Webster County census listing. As I made the changes to Carol's annotation, I happened to think maybe others have found additional or conflicting information to annotations sent to me for their families' 1860 census listings. After all, the 1860 Webster County census project went online in March 1999 and I began to accept annotations shortly after that. I know most of us have added to our research during that six-year period. So if you have material that needs to be changed or new material that needs to be added to our 1860 census annotations, please feel free to send it to me. Be sure to present your material in the way you want to see it online, because I will not be editing material for clarity. And if you don't note the correct household number for the annotation, chances are I won't be able to figure out where it belongs. btw, the Webster County 1860 census can be found at: http://www.rootsweb.com/~kywebste/census/1860/householdnumbers.htm Notice the census is still not indexed; if any of you techies out there want to undertake a project that would consist of an every-person index in which the names would link to the actual census household listing, it would welcomed by all, I am sure.
