Donna, thank you, but honestly I have been researching for years. I have added or maintain the find a grave sites you mention. I also have the censuses, marriage and death records etc. Still, where these two people lived in their final years and when / where they died eludes me. I am hoping some local family remains and may just know. Otherwise, sadly, it may be lost. Death records in the area before about 1920 may or may not be found. I have more than one pre-20th century death mystery in my Webster line. Thanks for your efforts and concern. I am trying to find a date when my gr-gr-grandmother died. Martha Duncan was the d/o of Elijah Duncan, she was b. NC, married my gr-gr-grandfather, William T. Handley, in Nov 17,l 1851 in Henderson CO. They had two sons-John Thomas in Oct 15, 1851 and George Harrison in Sept 13, 1854-both in Henderson CO. Sometime before 1860 census, Martha and William divorced, and she married Lewis Keller in Union CO on Jan 25, 1860. Neither parent had the boys in 1860, they are living with a brother to Martha. William remarried an Amanda Dyer on Dec 24, 1862 in KY (I do not have the place) and had 7 more children-- he and his second family went to Freestone CO., TX in 1881 from Henderson CO. He died Dec 9, 1908 in Freestone CO. In 1900 Martha was living with a son-William Keller and his wife Narcissa in Henderson CO. I do not know when Lewis Keller died, or if he and Martha divorced or what. I loose him after the 1870 census. Can anyone help me with this line? Thanks so much. A partial 1850 census for the city of Henderson is now online at: http://us-census.org/pub/usgenweb/census/ky/henderson/1850/ This is an important census for Webster County researchers as Webster County was formed in 1860. Until 1860 many of our ancestors living in neighboring Henderson, Hopkins and Union counties. Carole Palmer Webster County KYGenWeb
Carole, Wish Amy and I could go but .... Jonathan fell early Wednesday morning trying to get to his walker to go to the bathroom. We were going to Paducah but took Jonathan by our regular doctor's office to get an e-x-ray rather than ER. His left hand is broken down from the ring finger toward the wrist. They wrapped it and said they would call when we could get him in to a orthopedic surgeon so they would put a cast on. and to go on to Paducah since it would be 1-2 days before we could get in. We got to Madisonville and was called back so he could go in that afternoon. He only got to see a APRN and they put him in a cast etc room with 4 other people. He can not use his walker since they don't want him to put an weight on it. We are to go back Wednesday late but I'm going to call tomorrow to see if he can see the hand surgeon instead of the nurse. Don has a cousin that is a PA and he told me to request the hand surgeon because he was the best in Owensboro. I don't know if they will let me change the appointment or not but I can try. They will x-ray his hand when we go back and hopefully find out if he has to have surgery. We have to hold Jonathan's hand when he wants to get up because the walker won't go through the bedroom or bathroom door. The nurse gave him no pain medication and we were so tired we forgot but they did call in Loratab on Thursday afternoon. Everyone else is ok I guess. Hope your family is doing ok.
