Hi, I am looking for a death date of John Felix Eakins, b. abt 1902 to Marcus Leander "Lee" Eakins and Cleopatria "Cleo" Curry Eakins at Robards, KY. John Felix md Sophia "Soppie" Minerva Sellars (b. Aug 28, 1900-d. Nov 8, 1978). Soppie died in Vanderburgh CO, but lived in Henderson CO. I cannot find a death on John Felix. And I think they did have a son, John Felix JR, abt 1925 but he is not on the 1930 census with his parents. Can anyone help me? Thanks. My daughter found Elijah Duncan's memorial on the FindAGrave app. We do not know if the information is correct so you will need to verify it. http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=105880899 Marian -----Original Message----- From: gkeusch via Sent: Sunday, November 23, 2014 9:19 AM To: Henderson Co. ; Webster Co. Ashby headstone is still there. I was told by someone on findagrave that she found it in a shop in Clarksville TN and I called and they do have one--and it was broken about an inch below the shield. He said the one he has is "brown" but the one photographed on Findagrave is white and has darker gray where the shield is. I live in New Franklin MO and so cannot see this for myself. I have a cousin in the area but she seems to be busy and hasn't checked it out. If there is no stone there, I will see to it another stone is placed, but I don't want to do anything until I know what is there. I was there in 2001 and took a picture of the stone in question and the one of his wife, France Elizabeth (Spicer) Ashby. This photo is attached. These are my 2nd Great Grandparents on my father's side. Can someone look into this, please, and let me know? I am anxious to find out about this. Thank you. Harold Kerr II New Franklin MO
Thanks. The coordinates will be very helpful. I have several buried there and hope to find some small marker for my great grandfather. Two of his small daughters were buried there but for some reason, his son was buried in Waggoner Cem.
